Amazing Creme & Wet Eyeliners!

Bookmark and Share Posted on 06/28/2012

I much prefer liquid or creamy based eyeliners than powder. For one, I've had a bad run with powder eyeshadows when I try to be wet my brush and attempt to turn them into a wetter consistency for lining. Although some powder shadows are meant to be able to do this, I still find that after I draw my line, tiny powder particles seem to land on my upper cheeks throughout the day. As I'm constantly touching my face, there have been some  smudging 'accidents that make me look I'm going out for the football team. Luckily for me, we just got in some amazing new eyeliners in store!

Kevyn Aucoin's Precision Liquid Liner comes with a felt tip applicator for easy lining or more daredevil accuracy for a dramatic cat eye. It's also waterproof so will hold onto your eyelids for dear life, come rain, sleet, sweat or snow. As it's a quick drying formulation, there's no need for you to not blink for two minutes nor fan your eyes (come on ladies we've all been there).

There's no point investing in a creme liner without knowing you're going to be applying it with an amazing brush. EF | STUDIO's Creme Eye Liner & Precision Point Liner Brush has everything you need for $40. The double ended liner brush is one of the finest engineered brushes on the market making it effortless to apply creamy or water based eye products. The Creme Eye Liner in Kuro has the most luxurious feel and will work for all skin types. It can be used to create sleek, sexy lines or it doubles as a great shadow to create the iconic smoky eye. No smudging, flaking or streaking!

I'm very excited to enhance my eye area with the EF | STUDIO Eye Gloss Transparent which I'm hoping is a much less stickier and tackier version than Mac's Eye Glass. I love the dewy, sensual finish it leaves on your eyes, but not the feeling that your eyelids are stuck. With EF | STUDIO's, it contains moisturizing properties to preserve the natural suppleness of the eye area so it leaves a beautiful wet look to lids without the stick!

Get The Look - Becca Balearic Love Collection » -

Kinda drooling over Becca's new Balearic Love Collection that just arrived! Inspired by distant shores, romantic temptation and stolen glances with a handsome stranger. It's no wonder you feel like you're watching something you shouldn't in these photos. The whole range is just plain seductive and sexy, with an emphasis on smoky eyes, sun kissed skin and berry stained lips.

To achieve this bronzed earth goddess look begin to lightly pat Becca's Eye Tint in Romanticism on

the lid with fingertips. This highly pigmented eye color goes on as a creme but dries as powder leaving a beautiful mauve bronze color to the lid.

The draw is clearly the eyes in the photo and you enhance this smoldering look even more with the Balearic Love Palette filled with three sensuous hues of bronze, plum and violet. Begin by applying Marcella all over the eye, blending into the crease line and intensifying at the outer edges. Next, sweep Romal over the eyelids from lash line but stopping at the crease line. Lastly, accentuate the inner corners of the eyes with Atlas. To make eyes pop even more, find a soft violet eyeliner and rim the top and bottom of eyelids.  Finish with Becca's Ultimate Mascara.

Contour the face, blending under the cheekbones into the hollows of the cheeks with Becca's

Mineral Powder Blush in Bolero. This delicate powder brush is infused with micro fine minerals that deliver a soft glow and demi matte bronze color to the

cheeks.

Lastly use Becca Sheer Tint Lip Color in Valentina to give a hint of soft raspberry color and subtle shine to the lips. A formulation so light and creamy it enhances the natural tone of lips while making them appear healthy, moist and full.

«Frederic Fekkai Cooling Shine Mist -

Shop the full Frederic Fekkai collection here!

Two features in one week? I think Frederic Fekkai's Cooling Shine Mist is onto something. If this isn't enough hint that this summer designed hair styling product is amaze balls I don't know what is! Chosen as an beauty editor's favorite in July's Allure magazine because, "The peppermint oil in this shine spray feels so refreshing, you'll want to spritz it over and over again--and you can, because the light formula doesn't gunk up your hair."

I totally love that we can say more is less with the Cooling Shine Mist as normally the approach to beauty has always been the opposite: less is more, since once you cross a line you typically have to wash your hair or face and start over again. Summertime is all about low maintenance beauty, just wash and let the ocean breeze air dry it to just got out of bed perfection. Spray on this refreshing mist for a beautiful shine as well as UV protectant!
