Beauty Madness in NYC!

I just got back from a whirlwind  48 hour trip to New York City. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm a NYC virgin. I don't know what took me so long to get there but am grateful that I finally got the chance to go and from what I experienced, cannot wait to get back there again.

In actuality, I'm kind of glad it took me 31 years. As a tomboyish teenager, there was no big draw card as I didn't have an interest in fashion, architecture, or food. To me, vacation meant sandy beach or at least a water park.

In actuality, I'm kind of glad it took me 31 years. As a tomboyish teenager, there was no big draw card as I didn't have an interest in fashion, architecture, or food. To me, vacation meant sandy beach or at least a water park.

Now, that I'm a mature adult with a deep respect for all things fashion and beauty I was immediately in love with the trendy women I encountered. Something did surprise me though. I figured I would see well dressed Carrie Bradshaw species on every corner, in every shop, like a scene out of the Matrix. Although there were many, especially in West Village and Chelsea, I loved the fact that I never knew when I was going to spot them. Like a game of cat and mouse. Plus, I loved the fact that it didn't' seem like they spent a fortune on their clothes. New York City women know how to put clothes together and that's the most important factor. If you have that skill, you can make an outfit from Target look expensive.

Even though I was there for work, I can also say I was their for pleasure, because anything beauty related I really don't consider work because it's just to fun. I went to interview some of our fabulous brands that were for New York Fashion Week.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Paul & Joe Beaute, Nonie Creme (creator of Butter London), and Linda Rodin (creator of Rodin olio lusso). We also went backstage with Clarisonic, Deborah Lippmann and Becca Cosmetics to bring you all latest trends and news with these fabulous brands!

It wasn't all beauty related though, I did get to many of "must do" things when in NYC such as get a "slice." Either way, I had the best time and so glad I got to catch it all on camera! You'll see my trip to NYC very soon for the launch of b-glowing TV!

Brad Pitt, sexiest man alive and the gorgeous Angelina Jolie's husband happens to have a little beauty crush on a certain product by Talika.

It's not everyday that we hear about men voicing their opinions about beauty products, but let me tell you…..I love hearing about metrosexual males and their favorite face exfoliant, moisturizer, and must have foot cream. A man that looks after himself, within reason of course, is something we're starting to hear more about these days. In fact, the day my husband told me he was out of his exfoliant and could I please get him some more has been one of the proudest and most memorable times in my beauty junkie life.
