For all you ladies who've been waiting for Butter London's Spring/Summer 2012 range you can now see a sneak peak at these 5 gorgeous neutral shades tempered by sherbert pastels and cool neutrals. All of these shades were custom blended and created backstage at Fashion Week! As always I love the British inspired names of each lacquer such as Trout Pout and Knackered. Coming soon!
Trout Pout: An opaque shade of cantaloupe, pale and retro.
Knackered: A sheer, twinkling oyster shade flecked with micro glitter particles. Looks green or purple when you rotate your finger!
Slapper: A truly teal lacquer, bold and very bright.
Disco Biscuit: Tropical hot pink with tiny iridescent glitter particles.
Bossy Boots: Light, opaque pistachio green. This season's new take on "neutral."
It was all glamour and sophistication at last night’s 2012 Golden Globe awards. I watched the stars traipse down the red carpet looking for the most part stunning (didn’t care for Mila Kunis or Lea Michelle’s look, but whatever.) What continually caught my eye was the general trend for simple make-up and muted or nude lips. Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Kate Beckinsale, Stacy Kiebler – they all kept their lips very neutral so that their eyes and fabulous dresses were the main focus. These soft lip looks made Hollywood’s hottest women look beautiful, feminine and completely enviable.
Recreating lips like these is easy with the right lip stick and gloss.
The Hydrating Lipstick in Veronika by Jouer Cosmetics is the perfect neutral lip color. Its soft color has a slight shimmer to give your lips that star-like quality without being over the top. This smooth lipstick is made of moisturizing Brazilian Cupuacu Butter so it also protects your lips and provides beautifully smooth coverage.
Layer the Veronika with Armour Beauty’s Gypsy Shimmer Lip Gloss. This sheer light peach gloss has a touch of gold shimmer to add shine and a little drama. The color and shine is ultra-feminine and long-lasting, perfect for a glamorous night out.
Celebrities love Kai Fragrance and apparently so does Catherine Q. O'Neill from Allure Magazine. In the January 2012 edition, a series of "Super Soakers" or new bath products were put to the test and Kai's Bathing Bubbles were one of the products that made the cut. How could they not? Kai's signature aroma of the tropics has won over numerous celebrities and us common folk alike. The Allure beauty team loved the big sudsing in this rub-a-dub-dub bath product complete with added silkening and softening benefits of ingredients such as argan oil, coconut and sugar. Best note of all, Kai's Bathing Bubbles doesn't leave behind a slippery residue on your skin! Final grade: A+
