Your wedding will be one of the most memorable moments in your life. From the dress to the decorations everything should be perfect and that includes your makeup. For my wedding five years ago I was so picky about not wanting to look like I had a pancake face that I ended up spending a butt load of money and doing it myself to make sure I looked like a more glamorous version of myself. If you don't plan on having a makeup artist then take a look at my picks below to create a beautiful makeup look for your wedding.

Firstly, the foundation is always one of the most important products as you want a formulation that is light and breathable. I always want my skin to be seen but perfected, not literally camoflaged and suffocating. The perfect foundation for this would be Jemma Kidd's Light As Air Foundation. This ultra-light product will provide a natural foundation for your skin along with a velvet feel and soft focus finish. Your skin will be left matte, without any shine for photos! This was also just featured in GOOP by Gwyneth Paltrow's makeup artist.

I don't always like to use a powder but for photos I think it's important to have just in case the nerves cause you to sweat and have more shine than usual. Paul & Joe's Kitty Matte Pressed Powder goes on effortlessly and feels weightless. Comes with a slightly darker shade for creating contour and a transluscent clear shade for a flawless shine free complexion. This line is also part of the Spring 2012 Meow Collection that is flying off the shelves!

Everyone typically looks better with a touch of a tan, especially on the face. Sweep Becca's Mineral Bronzing Powder over the areas of your face that sun tends to hit such as tip of chin and nose, across the forehead and dusted lightly on cheekbones. The Mineral Bronzing Powder doesn't contain any sparkle and gives a natural looking wash of bronze color that won't fade or look orange.

Add a touch of soft color to your cheekbones with Jouer Cosmetics Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet. Light diffusing minerals create a romantic, soft finish.

For eyes, keep it soft and simple with natural shades. EF | STUDIO'S Eye Color Palette E101 has five different natural, beige-y shades to choose from to add a slight shimmer and create some depth around the eye area.

I love a soft romantic lip with a hint of color and Armour Beauty's Lip Gloss in Ann Margaret is the perfect romantic shade in an opaque, rich coral. This shade was actually just featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.com!

«Ready for Romance: Romantic Makeup Looks for Valentine's Day -

Sara Happ Brown Sugar Lip Scrub Valentine’s Day is one of the perfect times to experiment with a new, romantic look. Getting made up for a hot date isn’t just important because it makes you feel confident and flirty, it also shows your date that this night out is important and that you want him to feel proud of being with you. Keep in mind that the most romantic look for Valentine’s Day is the one that makes you feel comfortable and yourself (because it’s not hot to worry about how you look).

Valentine’s Day Prep

During the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, you need to do some prep work. Just as an artist prepares a canvas before creating a beautiful piece of art, you must prepare yourself. Practice a daily skincare routine so your face is irresistibly soft and clear. Don’t forget about your lips. Achieve the softest lips ever with a Sara Happ lip scrub, which gently exfoliates the flaky, dry skin on your lips so they’re always supple. Use the Sara Happ sugar scrub every night, and follow it up with an ultra-moisturizing lip balm. Your lips will be so kissable that it will be hard for your date to not kiss and tell.
