I always look forward to reading Marie Claire's 'Beauty Desk' feature to see what the beauty editor is going nuts over. This month, two amazing products we carry at b-glowing caught Beauty Director Ying Chu's eye.
Erno Laszlo's Morning Beauty Rescue is like a Tylenol for your skin when you've had a long night or stressful morning. It's packed full of ingredients like Vitamin E to brighten and rejuvenate your skin and also moonlights as a makeup primer. I'm a lover of anything that creates a subtle glow and from the moment you open the packaging and look upon the blushing pink formulation with luminous liquid pearls staring back you will know its powers. Erno Laszlo specifically created this product for an actress who had a personality that was larger than life, Marilyn Monroe, and then re-formulated to address the skincare needs of the modern woman.
Also given some Beauty Desk love was the new Lipstick Cases from Paul & Joe's 2012 Autumn Love Story collection. These new mix and match nail polish cases will be available to order soon although here you can see a gorgeous sneak peak. You'll literally be able to 'dress' your lipsticks up by popping one of the lipstick refills in your designated new case. All of the prints used on Paul & Joe cosmetics packaging is taken straight from the Paul & Joe apparel line!

Gorgeous actress and daughter of the famous Genesis lead singer Phil Collins, Lily Collins was recently featured in the September issue of Glamour magazine. Hand picked by the guest editor, the stylish Victoria Beckham, she was featured in a hair-how-to spread rocking the upcoming Fall 2012 hair trends. My personal fav was the throwback to Brigitte Bardot with a half bouffant/half pony. The secret to achieving this look is obviously a lot of volume and back combing along with a little help from Frederic Fekkai's Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel. Apply to damp hair with an emphasis on roots for extra lift and then throughout for added texture.
The other look Lily wore was smooth and accessorized. Any hair style can be dressed up and made cuter with a headband or barrette but to really smooth down frizzies for perfectly accessory placement you need Frederic Fekkai's Coiff Ironless Straightening Balm. You don't need a professional blow-out to keep flyways at bay, simply apply this non chemical balm throughout damp hair and then blow dry holding your brush very straight

What do Snow White, Cinderella, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston all have in common? Great hair of course! As a youngster these make believe characters made me dream of long, flowing locks and as soon as I saw Julia Roberts fling around that full and bouncy hair in Pretty Woman, it made me realize what a healthy head of hair looks like. Not all of us are blessed naturally with a great mane so we rely on products to help create that luscious do. This story does have a happily ever after because of the latest breakthrough product to come out from Peter Thomas Roth..... the Hair To Die For Treatment!
Described as a 'gem in a bottle' by Rachel Zoe's The Zoe Report for any person who experiences thinning, damaged or dull locks; its unique Tri-Phase Complex™ targets the root and absorbs quickly into the scalp to work on the three stages involved in the hair growth cycle. Simply apply one dropper to wet or dry hair twice daily into the scalp where help is needed and watch and feel as your mane is transformed. Also just in from the brand is Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 10% Toning Complex which gently removes dead skin cells and resurfaces the skin therefore minimizing teh appearance of those dreaded fine lines and rough skin surface. Simply apply with a cotton ball as needed and can be used as a cleanser or after the use of one as a toner. Exciting new additions from one of the foremost leaders in anti-aging skincare. The End.
