Green is all the rage this season, from bright Avatar green to the palest of opaque. With a little hint of bronzed skin, RGB's Dew is brought to life with a pale pistachio hue.
Recently featured on InStyle.com as part of their 'Hottest Spring Polishes,' it was in great company along with other colorful shades like Butter London's Disco Biscuit (tropical hot pink) and Deborah Lippmann's On The Beach (Riviera blue).

The annual Met Ball is by far the biggest night in fashion with celebrities, models, designers and the 'style set' coming out dressed to impress. Hosted by Vogue magazine, this event is known to be the fashion world's best red carpet event as well as the top social event in New York. If you'd like to attend next years you better start saving, tickets are a whopping $25,000 a pop with all proceeds going to the Costume Institute. Enough of the details, let's get on to the good stuff, i.e who wore it best, who gave good face and who was red carpet road kill….
By far the most jaw dropping, stunning look of the night from head to toe was actress Camilla Belle. She hasn't done to many movies as of late but she is known for her fantastic style and last night she nailed it in a Ralph Lauren Collection ivory tulle beaded dress with champagne python sandals. Truly the "Belle of the Ball' I immediately fell in love with her dark wine stained lip, bronzed cheeks and brooding brows. Get her wine kissed lips with Jouer's Hydrating Lipstick in Phoebe. Kate Bosworth also rocked the typically winter trended dark stained lip with a slicked back braided chignon and flapper style feather dress.
Jessica Alba sparkled in a grecian style, burnished gold Michael Kors gown. One of the few who actually wore her hair down, it still looked elegant with a delicate pin curl set wave and again a dark lip! Are we on to a new summer trend here?
Cutie pie Emma Stone looked absolutely adorable in a red Lanvin dress with custom designed crystal flowers. I thought her hair perfectly matched the playfulness of her dress with a messy up do embellished with a crystal hair pin.

It seems the major hair trend from the 2012 Met Ball was the slick back! Bring back the mousse as the wet look seems to be all the rage when paired with an assortment of stylish chignons. From Kate Bosworth's classical braided bun, Gwyneth Paltrow's centre parted up do, to Gisele's matchy-matchy slick back that was fashionably coordinated with beau Tom Brady.
Not only does this type of hairstyle help accentuate the beauty of a rounded shoulder and collarbone, but it also helps us look younger. Pulling back the hair from your face in a tight elastic is like giving yourself a mini face lift. Beautiful actress Rosario Dawson had her chignon done by one of the greats, celebrity hairstylist to the stars Oscar Blandi, and we get the scoop on how to re-create this look ourselves:
Step 1: Prep the hair with Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray.
Step 2: Blow-dry the hair with an emphasis on the roots to create lift and a solid foundation, but leave the ends of the hair damp.
Step 3: Create a left side part and pull the hair back tightly into a ponytail just above the nape of the neck.

It seems like everywhere I look soap is gracing the pages of many beauty spreads. Soap style cleansers are back in a big way and not just any kind. Black soap is all the rage because of it's ability to heal problematic skin, remove scars caused by acne and an allover great pimple preventer for oilier skin types.
One of the best ones on the market is Shea Terra Organic's Rose Hips Black Soap. Although this is in a liquid form rather than soap, experts say this can be better since soap bars have more of a tendency for bacteria build-up. Customers as well as spa professionals have said they've never seen a product work faster than this one. This 100% natural product is a mix of rose hips and African herbs that are filled with skin renewing and anti-oxidant properties. Think of it as a microdermabrasion treatment without the abrasion or the cost! It effectively and gently breaks down dead skin layers to reveal a cleaner, calmer and brightened skin!Read More »
Bvlgari is known for it's elegant, beautiful and expensive jewelry line. For those of us who can't afford the bling, you can still enjoy the feeling of high end luxury through their stunning fragrance line. Best of all, this luxury is totally affordable!
One of my personal favorites is Bvlgari's Mon Jasmin Noir. Otherwise known as seduction in a bottle, this refined fragrance has notes of angel wing jasmine, vibrant wood and musky nougatine. As the sun goes down slip into a slinky cocktail dress and splash on the woody evening sister fragrance Jasmin Noir. With summer right around the corner Bvlgari's Omnia Coral captures the floral fruity tone of the tropics and far off oceans. Also inspired by the shimmering hues of red coral both in the gorgeous bottle and notes of pomegranate and goji berries. Awaken your senses with one spritz and you'll be hooked forever...Read More »

Perfume has the power to transport us in one spritz to a distant memory we thought was forgotten, places we once traveled, and even a person. How many times do we smell something and all of a sudden it can remind us of our grandma who used to wear that fragrance or a friend? Perfume can help trigger things we thought were lost and also carries with it the power of attraction. Cartier perfumes, just like their jewelry are the master craftsmen when it comes to creating unforgettable fragrances that elicit intense emotion.
Cartier's Delices de Cartier takes you on a sensual journey that is impossible to resist. It's Morello cherry accord lingers on the skin while vanilla and tonka bean work in harmony to bring a salty warmth, like sun-kissed skin. If you love a fragrance that's a melting pot combination of fruity, sweet, acidic, melting and spicy then this cherry inspired perfume will quickly become your latest obsession, and others as soon as they smell it on you.

It’s prom season, and the girls are going gaga over metallic eye shadow. But you don’t need to be a teenager or use prom as an excuse in order to experiment with the latest gilded eye makeup. The trick to wearing metallic eye shadow is apply it so it looks beautiful and sexy, not clownish and over the top.
Tips for using metallic eye shadow include:
Carefully match shades. If you’re not sure how to mix and match the latest shimmering colors, cheat with Jemma Kidd makeup. The Jemma Kidd Makeup School cosmetics line includes I-ris Enhancers that provide a trio of perfectly matching metallic colors for your blue, green or brown eyes.
Wear primer. Keep the glimmer in place by using an eye shadow primer over your eyelids as a base. If you don’t have a primer, a cream shadow will do the trick. Let the base dry before applying your metallic eye shadow.Read More »
If there's one brand whose signature pattern can immediately spark a fashion reference it's Burberry. Their distinctive tartan pattern is synonymous with this British luxury fashion house, and it not only graces the handbags but also many of their fragrances. Just like their classic trench coats, Burberry perfumes are a prestigious extension of their lifestyle and accessory collections.
One of the most popular scents is Burberry's Brit. Enclosed in a glass bottle with signature tartan design, it's a delicate and fresh scent of crisp green almond, icy pear and italian lime. Although crisp, it also has a bit of warmth due to hints of amber and mahogany. The ideal scent for fall, pair this with a trenchcoat (any will do) and you're styling for the season.
Burberry's Body is a 'full bodied' and eclectic combination of creamy vanilla, warm sandalwood, and illuminating peach notes that make a woman feel effortlessly sensual and feminine. Wear this scent when you want that little extra sex appeal. Confidence in a bottle and also one of my personal favorites!
