New York….concrete jungles where dreams are made true, lights will inspire you…..
I don't know about lights inspiring me, but makeup certainly does and especially when I hear about brands that are breaking the mold in cosmetics like EF | STUDIO, Eddie Funkhouser and Kaden's new range out of New York City!
This powerful and creative duo are bringing function back to the way we choose our makeup. They want to help eliminate the clutter of numerous makeup products that aren't doing a darn thing for us except taking up valuable space. Makeup should be fun, not stressful, and that comes down to having studio grade formulations that actually do what they say as well as having makeup options that takes the guessing game out the picture.Read More »
If you struggle with the effects of eyelid creasing even after using primers, potions and concealers then this might be your lucky day. I'd come to deal with the fact that no matter if I used cream based or powder eyeshadows, in t-minus two hours I was going to have the tell-tale signs of that product embedded into my eyelids. It wasn't until a month ago that a fab-fab-fabulous new cosmetics range joined the b-glowing family that I realized there was hope.
And that product line my friends is Ellis Faas.
The entire product range is to die for but one of the stand outs for me was their eye shadow products. It must be all in the formulation, in particular Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes. It's has a miracle consistency and transforms from a wet to matte powder upon application. The brush shape and thickness makes it easy to apply and direct exactly where you want it to go. The only other step is blending the color out if you desire for more of a smoky look. Truthfully, I can wear this product for 8 hours and when I get home and look in the mirror it looks exactly like I just put it on! It says put and the results look fresh even through heat, rain and other environmental elements known to be makeup's worst enemy.
One of my personal favorites is the Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes E107 because of it's wearble mushroom/taupe shade which keeps it's cool, wearable factor from summer to winter. This shade was also recently featured in Gwyneth Patlrow's Goop E-newsletter where her makeup artist fell in love with it during a day to evening makeover. Another favorite around the office is Creamy Eyes E104 as we find it the perfect sexy, smoky eye color.Read More »
It’s prom season, and the girls are going gaga over metallic eye shadow. But you don’t need to be a teenager or use prom as an excuse in order to experiment with the latest gilded eye makeup. The trick to wearing metallic eye shadow is apply it so it looks beautiful and sexy, not clownish and over the top.
Tips for using metallic eye shadow include:
Carefully match shades. If you’re not sure how to mix and match the latest shimmering colors, cheat with Jemma Kidd makeup. The Jemma Kidd Makeup School cosmetics line includes I-ris Enhancers that provide a trio of perfectly matching metallic colors for your blue, green or brown eyes.
Wear primer. Keep the glimmer in place by using an eye shadow primer over your eyelids as a base. If you don’t have a primer, a cream shadow will do the trick. Let the base dry before applying your metallic eye shadow.Read More »
