RGB Cosmetics latest nail lacquer, Dew, is sure to get some pastel lovers hearts a flutter. I've always loved and am on the lookout for the perfect "Tiffany and Co" robin's egg shade and never know if it's more blue or green. Surely it has to be somewhere in between but Dew is kind of similar, just more of a muted version. It's a very pale, mint green that is so popular right now and surely one of the perfect shades to rock this spring. If the color reminds you of an Easter egg you decorated as a child, then it's on trend for this season. As winter slowly starts to fade away, it's time to slowly add in pops of color to your nails like this one!Read More »

You may have come across terms like 3-Free, 4-Free, or 5-Free in the past when shopping for nail polish. But what does that mean? b-glowing.com is here to give you the 411 on what your lacquer is leaving out!
3-Free: When you see 3-Free on a nail polish, it means it is made without the use of: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), or Formaldehyde.
4-Free: When you see 5-Free on a nail polish, it means it is made without the use of: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, or Camphor.
5-Free: When you see 5-Free on a nail polish, it means it is made without the use of: Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor.
What are these ingredients? Why are they used in the first place?
Toluene: Helps polish go on smoothly. Also found in gasoline, rubber cement, and shoe polish. Inhaling products containing toluene causes light-headedness, nausea and even unconsciousness and sometimes death. It's also linked to developmental damage for pregnant women.
Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP): Prevents your polish from chipping and cracking. Also found in adhesives, printing ink, and plastics. It's been designated a reproductive and developmental toxin.
Formaldehyde: Makes polish tough and resistant. Most commonly found in nail strengtheners, not polish. It's also directly linked to nasal sinus cancer and the development of leukemia.
Formaldehyde Resin: A less toxic version of formaldehyde, this ingredient is still considered a skin allergen that can cause dermatitis.
Camphor: Helps polish adhere to your nails. Also used as a moth repellent, used in the embalming process, and found in fireworks. While it is less hazardous than the "Toxic 3", it does cause skin irritation and is poisonous when ingested in large doses. Nail biters beware!
b-glowing.com is proud to carry a wide range of 3-Free, 4-Free, and 5-Free nail polish brands that we love. You will easily find bright, bold, beautiful colors that are long-lasting and SAFE! Here is a list, start shopping now!
- The New Black
A lot of products slip under the radar in the beauty industry, which is why we are launching our new 'Hidden Gems' segment here at the b-glowing.com Magazine. We are excited to recognize our staff favorites, and give them the attention they deserve!

This week's hidden gem is RGB Cosmetics Nail Color Remover Pads. This soy-based product gently removes your nail polish without the use of acetone or acetate - some of the most toxic chemicals in the cosmetic industry. The pre-moistened pads are non-hazardous, almost odorless, and leave nails looking nourished and healthy.
Why We're Pushing These Pads:
"I love the RGB Cosmetics Nail Color Remover Pads because they work, and are travel-friendly. I have them at my desk, in my purse, in my car, and in my bathroom. One pad takes care of all 10 nails, and leaves them looking shiny too. One quick tip: Make sure to wash your hands between using these pads and applying new nail lacquer, the oil-based formula can make polish application difficult if left on the nail." - b-glowing.com Social Media Administrator, HollyRead More »

Katelyn: (Right hand) butter LONDON Wellies (Left hand) butter LONDON Slapper
The first to try a new trend or design, our Customer Service Director Katelyn couldn't choose between her two favorite greens, so she decided to use them both! "I thought they were similar enough in tone that I could wear them together without looking crazy! I love how it turned out."
Kayla: RGB Cosmetics Oxblood
Ready for summer to end, our Brand Assistant Kayla welcomes fall with a 5-free vampy wine shade. "With Fall quickly approaching, I wanted something new so I went from blonde to brunette with my hair and I wanted to play-up the dark on my nails as well!"
Holly: LACC 1957
Craving something neutral, but fun, our Brand Associate Holly reached for this vegan pale pink to give her nails a pop of color. "I wanted something sheer that allowed my natural nails to peek through. I love that you can layer 1957 to get the exact coverage you are looking for. It's like two polishes in one."

There's no time like summer to break out those bright popsicle and sherbet shades. Neon knows no boundaries so feel free to apply on nails, eyelids and lips! However, a little word to the wise, just like jewelry it's a good idea to choose one area to focus your beauty statement rather than choosing all three. A turquoise eye, hot pink cheek and bright orange lip might be a little overkill, unless you're walking on a runway. Here are a few fun high voltage shades to adorn yourself with this summer season…
Make an eye-popping statement with By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Fizzy Jade Or Paradise Island. These crayon inspired eye shadows can literally be drawn on for precise contouring as well as easily blended out to create more of a smoky look. Both of these shades remind me of the sea with Fizzy Jade being a gorgeous soft green and Paradise Island a turquoise blue. They're made with pearl proteins, present in the form of micronized powder which allows for a creamy, melt away eyeshadow that creates a lifting light effect and has infallible hold.
Lips are meant to be noticed. Forego your neutral soft pink gloss and go high octave with staff favorite Ilia Lipstick in Neon Angel. We can't get enough of fuchsia this season and when it's this easy to apply and consists of organic ingredients that tint and condition our skin it's a beauty junkie no brainer.
Jungle Queen by Lipstick Queen is a perfect addition to your makeup bag for those days when you want to let out your wild side. It is semi-sheer, so it gives just the right amount of color without overwhelming your face.
butter LONDON's Patent Shine 10x Nail Color is both fierce and fun. Part rebellious and part glamorous, this is a perfect shade for summer playtime.
