Stay Dry & Smell Fresh With Kai Deodorant!

Bookmark and Share Posted on 05/18/2012

We have been ridiculously spoiled over the years with Kai's gorgeous bath and body products such as our favorite (and Oprah's), Body Buffer and the Eau de Parfum. Gorgeous packaging as well as a vacation/beach inspired signature scent of tuberose, jasmine and lily is what the thousands of Kai devotees around the world fall in love with.

To make sure no shell is left unturned, nor no body part left without experiencing this kind of elegance, their most recent product addition will help us smell amazing in a place we seldom don't afford such luxury…our armpits. The aluminum free Kai Deodorant has a translucent formula combining vitamin e, chamomile and skin conditioning sugars to control moisture and keep us feeling dry all day long. It was just featured in the June 2012 edition of Elle magazine's 'Beauty It List' to cure dry underarms!

Frederic Fekkai Marine Summer Haircare! » -

One of the leaders in haircare, Frederic Fekkai is also leading the way in producing hair products that work to protect our hair from an environmental stressor we tend to forget about, the sun. We know that the sun's harmful rays can be damaging to our skin and anti-aging but it can be just as bad on our hair. It's very dehydrating so we need something to protect and re-build what has been damaged like Fekkai's After Sun Daily Mask, a UV protectant that keeps hair from fading and also deeply conditioning.

Another great hair product for summer is Frederic Fekkai's Cooling Shine Mist, also a UV protectant, this aerosol spray coats the hair with an even veil of gorgeous shine and leaves it feeling summer time fresh!

«Scents & Sensibility for Spring With Yosh! -

Women have been wearing perfume for years but do we really have it all figured out? Navigating through perfume sections online or in a department store can sometimes be overwhelming, not to mention trying to find your 'signature' scent.

In fact, perfume selection can be a very personal decision as scent is strongly linked to emotions and has a huge impact on the way people perceive you. What smells beautiful on a friend might smell totally different on your skin and this is where a little insight can really benefit us. After all, instructions for use don't come in the box so we gathered our most hard hitting questions and put them to the test with perfumer and scent expert YOSH...

Is it important to change or mix-up your perfumes with the changing of the seasons?

Yes, changing your perfumes with each season is like changing your fashion wardrobe. Each season represents a different sentiment or mood. Our body chemistry changes with the temperatures - partly because of the actual weather but also because of the seasonal foods you eat. And if you're newly in love - that will certainly change your body chemistry!

As we're entering spring, the season of changing leaves and re-introduction of color, what kind of scents should we be wearing?

As we come out of hibernation, the spring is full of hope and promise. It's still fresh some days and getting warmer other days. Just as you would wear a light sweater over your blouse or dress, wearing something sheer is great for this time of year. Something light but with some depth. Floral musk for this time of year is especially nice if you're on the East Coast and still need to wear a coat. Crisp florals are like crisp air in your nose - it wakes you up but it also gets the sluggish energy out. Sometimes, it's hard to motivate, we want the winter to last and we want to stay in bed. That's ok too - letting the body naturally come out of hibernation. But for days that need motivation, a little greenness will motivate you. Like wearing a pop of color.

What fragrance suggestions from our category would you find befitting of a great scent to compliment the Spring season?

Sottile in my own collection is made for spring with Tea Rose and Lily of the Valley. Sottile means subtle in Italian. It's clear and pretty like a spring day. There's a natural beauty to it - like a day after it rains. The air smells fresh with hints of hopeful silence. White Flowers is also great for this time of year. It's a more complex fragrance for the woman who likes tailored clothing. It has more layers and more bling. It's white flowers with a green finish and has a freshness to it like freshly picked wildflowers or the smell of flowers just coming out of the earth. Some other gorgeous spring options are:

Voluspa Floraison Mignonette

Bvlgari Eau Parfumee White Tea

Tocca's Florence Eau de Parfum

Leila Lou Perfume Oil

Sarah Horowitz Coconut Perfume Oil
