Summer is my favorite makeup season of the year. Not only does it mean cutting back on a few extra makeup products but also introducing pastel eyeshadows, romantic pink glosses and my personal favorite, bronzing creams and powders. European luxury brand By Terry's new products have really caught my eye this season for their amazing formulations and gorgeous shades. Here are the ones I'll be getting to create my summer makeup look for 2012.
I'm really picky about self tanners but have found a lot of luck with facial moisturizers that work to nourish the skin as well as build a safe and natural looking tan. The one I have my eye on this summer is By Terry's Serum Terrybly Sunbooster. Active ingredients work together to create a luminous tan 365 days a year, without DHA or sun exposure. Simply apply morning and evening onto cleansed skin.
Now that my tan is in check I want to enhance my cheekbones with a sexy shade and my favorite of the moment is By Terry's Blush Terrybly Ultimate Radiance Blush in Beach Bomb, a deep pinky coral with iridescent particles. The silver compact it comes in is so gorgeous but best of all is the lasting power. Blush typically tends to wear off after a long day but this highly pigmented yet sheer blush keeps a freshly applied appearance all day.
Eyes are a lot of fun to mix and match shades to really open them up and get noticed. One of my favorite eyeshadow types to work with are cream eyeshadows like By Terry's Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Paradise Island. What's so great about this particular product is that fact that it literally melts away onto the lid and has a ultra glossy and long holding film. You literally can draw on your shape like a crayon to give smooth application and the icy blue shade of Paradise Island is perfect for summer!
Lastly By Terry's Aqualip Jelly Tint in Dancefloor Flirt is a fuchsia pink lip stain. Somewhere between a lip tattoo and a color infusion, as soon as it touches the lips, it's jelly texture transforms into water to offer a real sensation of freshness. If you're game, try the latest 'color blocking' lip trend and use Dancefloor Flirt on the inner parts of the lips and a bright orange like Armour Beauty Opaque Lip Gloss in Lucy on the outer lips!
Hope this inspires you to create your own new summer look!

It's the season for sweating and shiny looking complexions. There's not anything you can do about it except stay indoors within the safety of air conditioning but that's not really anyway to enjoy your summer. There's glow and then there's shine and only one of those is beauty approved.
Say farewell to shine with Tatcha Japanase Beauty Papers as seen in Vogue Australia. They're amazing purse size mattifying blotting papers that soak up oily shine instantly. Tatcha papers have actually been the geishas secret weapon for years! Each of these hand made papers contain charcoal that is impregnated into the lattice work of the high grade abaca fibers so the paper is still powder free and won't disturb makeup or leave any residue on the skin. Say no to unwanted shine this summer with Tatcha!

It seems like fairytales are making a huge comeback this year, at least in movie land, with two films that have come out both paying tribute to Snow White. A character created by the Brother's Grimm, she was brought to life in a Disney cartoon made in gold old 1937. But it's not just films paying tribute, nail brand Deborah Lippmann has just released a duo pack paying a lacquered homage to the battle of being 'the fairest of them all." The Snow White and the Huntsman Limited Edition Nail Polish Set comes with a 'good' lacquer, Prelude to a Kiss in a innocent sheer pink and of course the evil co-star, Dark Side of the Moon in a deep very wicked aubergine. You don't have to have lips red as blood, hair as black as night, nor a wicked queen after your heart to have this limited edition kit be all yours. All you need is $25!
