Ever heard of a cult product? No, it's not what you think. I'm not talking about the go-to products that people actually living in a cult would use, but cult in the sense that a select portion of people know about them and swear by them as "the-best," and "the-only," product they will use. These cult products travel by word of mouth, from friend to a friend and the popularity carries on from there. These products might not even be mass produced or marketed but somewhere, if you're lucky enough, you may be able to get that whisper in the ear for the best moisturizer around...
Thank me later. I'm going to provide you that little whisper in the ear because we actually carry a lot of these "cult" beauty products at b-glowing!

I'm not talking about the go-to products that people actually living in a cult would use, but cult in the sense that a select portion of people know about them and swear by them as "the-best," and "the-only," product they will use. These cult products travel by word of mouth, from friend to a friend and the popularity carries on from there. The brands might not even be mass produced or marketed in your face, but by golly, they work! Somehow, somewhere, if you're lucky enough, you may even be able to get that whisper in the ear that beauty junkies crave. I know something you don't know......
Thank me later. I'm going to provide you that little whisper in the ear because we actually carry a lot of these "cult" beauty products at b-glowing. Ok, starting off, we have:
Egyptian Magic Face and Body Cream
If you trust the fashion industry then you'll love this product as the Fashion Press agrees this is a must-have product and skin conditioner. The uses are endless such as improves your complexion, heals scars, relieves many skin ailments, heals dryness, leaves your hair with a lustrous sheen, and more! Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream is a phenomenal healing balm with legendary powers due to its unique mixture of all natural ingredients derived only from living plants and organisms. This "People's Choice" has been on the market since August 1991 with a solid track record, a loyal word of mouth following, and twice the healing power for half the price of conventional skin creams. In a nutshell, it works.
Armour Beauty Lip Gloss
Combine Rock n' Roll with sex appeal, throw in a little beauty for good measure, and you get Armour Lip Gloss. Loved by celebrities crossing fashion and music, these cult lip glosses have easily become the "must-have" item in any ladies handbag. I'm not really a name dropper but ok...Eva Mendes, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss (need we say more), Reese Witherspoon...the list goes on and on. The lip glosses are long wearing, paraben free, and contain numerous moisturizing ingredients. The creators have always been inspired by music and classic pop culture so they named their glosses after some of their favorite rock songs, clubs and legendary icons.
This is their homage to those who have made them the strong women they are today.
Just so you have options, I've included another cult body moisturizer straight out of Japan. If you suffer from dry and sensitive skin this cream will do the trick! For those concerned with ingredients you'll love the fact that ATOPALM is paraben free and recognized by doctors and the media. The rich, emollent, yet non-greasy technology advanced formulas, have the ability to soothe and calm while leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and looking noticeably firmer and brighter. These products are perfect for those who are ready for serious skin treatment with a unique combination of effective ingredients designed to be gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin.
Rodin olio lusso
I had the pleasure of meeting with the creator of this brand for Fashion Week and her skin looked amazing. In fact, the reason the brand was created was because of the buzz it was creating with all the models and fashion insiders who received Linda's little secret vials. The idea is simple but so elegant. Eleven essential oils to moisturize and condition the skin. This product has become a bit of a hit amongst b-glowing staffers for it's intoxicating scent and incredible results!
Also out of Japan, Tatcha Aburatorigami's blotting papers. This cult beauty product actually goes back centures to the days of the geisha. Now their secret to excess oil has traveled through the ages, 300 years to be exact, to solve our beauty woes. For centuries, gold craftsmen in Japan have used special handmade papers to protect the precious metal they hammered into whisper-thin leafing to enrobe the majestic pavilions of Imperial Japan.
Their gold-leaf artistry transformed the supporting paper into aburatorigami, an incredibly soft, strong and absorbent leaflet ideal for removing excess oils from delicate skin.
The packaging is so gorgeous as well. Typically you wouldn't want to draw attention to yourself when blotting excess oil, but with TATCHA it's so cute you actually want it to be noticed and appreciated!
There you have it you've now got the inside scoop on the must have cult beauty products at b-glowing! Now it's your duty to share it with the world. Keep the whisper's going...
To keep with all things fashion related due to New York Fashion Week I thought it would be fun to write about one of our favorite nail polish brands, Butter London. I had the pleasure of speaking with the super gorgeous and trendy creator of this in demand lacquer range, Nonie Creme, at the pop up shop at Milk Made Studios in West Village.
Even more exciting, Nonie and her team have been lacquering many a model behind the edgiest designers at New York Fashion Week. I got to see a glimpse inside the madness when I followed her backstage for the Yigal Azrouel show, where it was all about vampy sex appeal. Nonie and the girls used La Moss, which is a vixenish deep red. Picture goblets of red wine overflowing and you'll get the picture. The shade looked amazing and really popped against the more muted makeup the models were sporting.
Becca is one of my favorite makeup brands we carry but not only because it's Australian and I happen to have spent seven years there, but also because I love what they stand for. Simple, effortless makeup. I hate feeling like I'm suffocating under layers of foundation, bronzer, and blush, so to me consistency is everything.
