The butter LONDON brand
Story telling. The secret ingredient. The ability to evoke an emotional response through packaging, iconography, design. What¹s inside the package?
Could be anything. The idea is to create desire and need in the consumer before they even know what¹s inside. So what is inside? Nail polish to be exact. That¹s how it all started.
The butter LONDON brand was born when two very different women bound themselves together because of a shared interest.
The first, a businesswoman with keen insight that the world of manicuring was missing something, that it was an incomplete and unexplored industry worth billions of dollars. It was as if no one had noticed that getting your nails done was something that everyone did; yet everyone accepted the same terrible experience, product and standard as, well, the standard. No one questioned that. It¹s just the way it was.
The other, an industry insider. A woman who had pampered the nails of celebrities and supermodels and knew what the ³something missing² from the nail industry was - Safe, high fashion product in luxury packaging brought to the consumer directly from the catwalks.
The backbone of the brand was their shared ³Britishness². What did it have to do with nails? Nothing. But that doesn¹t matter. What matters in brand building is creating aspiration. And who doesn¹t want to be British?
Do you know what else everyone wants to be? Rockstars.
Yeah, and stylish.
OK, now we¹re cooking. A brand that makes you feel like you are a stylish British rockstar. Perfect.
WE BELIEVE IN ROCK & ROLL. GREAT BRITAIN. AND FASHION.
