Hot Off the Press: Featured in InStyle

Shop b-glowing.

b-glowing brands were among the featured in InStyle’s May 2014 article, “2014 Best Beauty Buys.” From makeup to nails to skincare to hair care, our brands got some serious love! Here are the stars of the story.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

“This pencil, with its coveted built-in grooming brush, comes in seven true-to-life shades and lays down lines so silky and fine, ‘it looks like you’re drawing on individual hairs,’ says NYC makeup artist Jessica Smalls.”

Deborah Lippmann Naked

“One and done: its creamy beige flatters just about every skin tone.”

Clarisonic Aria

“…This tool clears the way so that serums and ant-agers can get the job done. ‘Gives your skin that glowy look that everyone wants,’ says NYC dermatologist Anthony Rossi.”

PMD Microdermabrasion Device

“You don’t have to be a pro to slough your way to flawlesses with this wand tippied with crystals. ‘Control rests with the machine, not with the untrained person,’ says Dr. Sejai Shah.”

Baby Quasar  Blue

“Its blue beam targets spot-causing bacteria and clams inflammation, says Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi. And unlike topical treatments, it won’t stress surrounding skin.”

St. Tropez Everday Gradual Tan

“Makeup artists praise the gel for what it has: erythrulose, a nontoxic tanning agent found in raspberries that provides color so you see where you’re applying it to avoid streaks. But they also applaud what it lacks: ‘that horrible self-tanner smell,’ says NYC makeup artist Bruce Wayne.’”

“Some oil-based products can leave hair with a greasy hangover, says Jennifer Garner’s hairstylist Adir Abergel, who swears that’s not the case with this organic shampoo and conditioner. He says the hero ingredient—a hand-harvested oil from the Amazonian rahua nut—breathes ‘luxurious’ new life into tired tresses.”

  1. Thank you, I have recently been searching for info about this topic for ages and yours is the best I’ve discovered so far. But, what about the bottom line? Are you sure about the source?

    1. Hi Kayswell,

We understand that there are so many different beauty sites, blogs & gurus out there, it’s hard to tell who to follow! It does depend on your preference, but we have been in the beauty game for over 13 years and we are definitely makeup obsessed. We’ve tried hundreds of brands and a multitude of tips/tricks so we can create this blog for our lovely customers. Obviously not all the products we highlight may work for your skin, we do hope that you find a thing or two that you will also become obsessed with.

      Best wishes,
