Dr. Gary Goldfaden has a dermatology practice in South Florida, so you can bet he knows a lot about fighting the negative effects of sun damage and aging. As a result, he created the new Goldfaden MD Plant Profusion products to help with fine lines, sagging, dullness, and dark spots. The line is effective but also natural, using potent botanicals to tighten, strengthen, hydrate, and even-out skin. The best part is that it gets the job done by relying on natural ingredients like plant stem cells and extracts instead of messing with creepy chemicals.
The whole line—which includes a serum, an eye cream, a neck cream and a night cream—uses organic ingredients, doesn't test on animals, and is free of parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, alcohol, silicone, gluten, artificial colors, and artificial fragrances. We love all three for fighting aging, but our favorite has got to be the Plant Profusion Supreme Serum. Why? Serums are long known to be super-charged anti-agers, but many feel slimy or sticky. This one is super-light and water-like instead, with a light botanical scent that comes from its ingredients. Plus it works, utilizing raspberry leaf, comfrey leaf, white tea leaf, garden cress sprout, and bird of paradise extracts to tighten skin, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and stimulate the new collagen.
While some anti-aging products can irritate sensitive skin, this serum is hypoallergenic and includes anti-inflammatory japonica flower extract and grape seed extract, which naturally calm skin so it can better repair itself from free-radical damage caused by sun exposure and aging. Light enough to layer under makeup by day or to use under a night cream or on its own before bed, this just saved us a flight to Florida to visit Dr. Goldfaden's office (okay, we might go to Florida anyway, but now we can skip right to South Beach).
