Nearly two decades after his premature passing, makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin is still a huge name in the field, thanks to this line of products that follow his concept of making all women look beautiful. He was coming up with inclusive shades that flatter all skin tones years before other makeup lines were. Even as a young child in Lafayette, Louisiana, Aucoin knew makeup was his destiny, as he used a tangerine-colored lipstick to transform the looks of his sister.
Aucoin moved to New York City as a teenager and made his way in the fashion world (he worked for free on model Paulina Porzikova to make a name for himself.) Soon, celebrities ranging from Janet Jackson to Cher would rely on his sharp makeup skills. No wonder he became known as the Michelangelo of maquillage. Aucoin's makeup philosophy was an inclusive one, with shades and styles that worked for average Americans as well as they did for A-listers.
We're addicted to The Sensual Lip Stain, the Kevyn Aucoin hybrid lip product. It goes on like a lip gloss but contains a matte component. But unlike other matte lipsticks and lip stains, it feels soft and smooth. This Kevyn Aucoin lip stain lives up to its sensual name.
